ernesthemingravy replied to your post: Question: This magazine is asking me for “a sub…
I think 1st person and by sub 200 words they mean less than 200 words?
Oh, okay. But generally I expected most magazine blurbs to be 3rd person, as in “Jeremy lives in Sydney, he enjoys such and such…”
It might not matter. But I’ll try out 1st person and see how it looks.
Question:
This magazine is asking me for “a sub 200 word blurb about yourself”.
Mainly I just want to know if this is a 1st or 3rd person blurb. Does it mean sub as in subjective?

$#*! My Mum Says
Woman in iPhone commercial: Play some Daft Punk.
iPhone: Okay. Daft Punk coming up.
Mum: What was that?
Me: Daft Punk.
Mum: Daft... is that the name of the music?
Me: No, Daft Punk – it’s the name of the band.
Mum: Oh, I thought it was describing the style of music. “Daft” punk.

Was just offered another internship at a new magazine, this time in PRINT (hallelujah) as well as online.
Already it’s looking better than the current one I’m at. They’re offering to publish short stories as well as articles and such, so that’s encouraging.
Hell of a lot better than being allocated to “Paris Hilton DJs omg what is she doing” type stories,...
